Dan Elliot is originally from the East coast of Canada but made the move to Japan immediately after graduating from university in 1998. Four years after coming to Japan he opened the legendary Oasis Lounge in Osaka where he honed his skills and found his sound. From the incredible success of the “Oasis Lounge sound” came many opportunities for Dan. As well as having his mixes featured on world-famous Frisky Radio, his live sets came into great demand taking him all over Japan and Thailand. Following the success of Oasis Lounge, Dan started OasisRadio which has come to be the most popular internet radio station featuring edm in Japan and “Progressions with Dan Elliot” continues to be one of the most listened to shows on the OasisRadio schedule.
Having been a mainstay in the Osaka club scene for the past 8 years he has seen people, fads and music tastes come and go so he is no stranger to change. His live sound has progressed over the years from progressive house and tribal to tech house and techno. With this wide range of musical influences he never fails to bring that perfect mix of sound and vibe that always suites the party and gets people’s hands in the air.
