2004 Japan Winner of “Found@Thirst,” the DJ competition sponsored by Heineken. The same year, DJ YASHIMA started organizing “WEST,” a quality progressive house music party where all the high-profile DJs in the Kansai scene got together to trade beats and basslines. In 2006 he started organizing “LIME” which features the sounds of the European dance scene. Having invited and played with the world leading DJs, “LIME” has earned an enormous popularity in Kansai and further abroad. In 2007, DJ YASHIMA played at “Connect ’07,” an unprecedented party which turned Kokugikan, the huge traditional sporting arena in Tokyo, into a club. With his proven techniques, his music excited and satisfied the crowd that gathered under the concept of “extraordinary experience in ordinary life”. Perfectly selecting and playing progressive house, electro, minimal, tech and house, he has a distinct DJ style with a beautiful flow of bassline and rhythm. The music he creates through his mixing, has both aggressiveness which makes you feel an irresistible desire to dance, and sexiness which hypnotizes you into just listening.
